EU Formally Adopts Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation

The European Parliament approved the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) corrigendum text on November 26, 2024, and the European Council (EC) endorsed it on December 16, 2024. The PPWR is expected to be published in the Official Journal of the European Union later this month. The PPWR will enter into force 20 days after its official publication and the general application date will be 18 months after its entry into force.
