These administrative approvals now permit the lawful marketing in China of these food-contact substances for the referenced food-contact applications. These approvals will eventually be incorporated into the relevant Food Safety Standards upon their revision. For example, the additive approvals will be added to China's GB 9685 Food Safety Standard on the Uses of Additives in Food-Contact Materials and Articles.
