SPC Impact 2023

Keller and Heckman Partner Mitzi Ng Clark will be one of the speakers at SPC Impact 2023, the flagship spring event from the Sustainable Packaging Coalition. She will participate in two sessions. On April 25th, Mitzi will co-present an overview of the legal and regulatory requirements regarding the U.S. regulation of recycled plastics in food contact applications, including the Food and Drug Administration’s No Objection Letter (NOL) program and various state mandates impacting the landscape for food-grade recycled plastics. The title of the session is “The Landscape of Policy and Legislation in Food-grade Recycled Plastics.”

Mitzi will also be one of the panelists in the session titled “Considerations to Make the Switch to Recycled Food Packaging.” The session will focus on the need for uniform global legislation on the use of recycled plastics in packaging for food, in addition to the need for industry support and increased recycling rates to have enough supply of recycled plastics and avoid feedstocks issues.
