Fifth Amendment to Plastics Regulations Adds New Substances to the Positive List

The Fifth Amendment to the Plastics Regulation, (EU) No. 2015/174, was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on February 6 and will enter into force on February 26. The amendment adds new substances to the Plastics Regulation's list of permitted substances of additives, polymer production aid, and monomers—found in Annex I of the regulation—and amends use restrictions for a number of other substances already on the list. Several of the substances being added to the positive list include nano specifications.
